I am a highly committed UI Front-End developer experienced with HTML5, CSS (Sass) and JavaScript.

With good knowledge of user-centric design principles, I have built front-end components for blue chip brand websites including the likes of Elle, Esquire, Harper's Bazaar, Cosmopolitan and Good Housekeeping Institute, among others.

Aware of ever evolving stacks and trends, I have focused my career on CSS challenges and constantly building upon my knowledge of JavaScript. I have experience with multiple programming languages and frameworks like React, ES6, Node, Webpack and jQuery.

I have experience on overseeing code quality and manage the work of front-end developers across different countries. Always stepping out of my comfort zone in order to learn new skills and be of a greater asset to the team around me.

In close collaboration with designers, I've been implementing web interfaces for a number of projects of this marketing agency's portfolio.

Hearst UK: Cosmopolitan, Elle, Harper's Bazaar and Esquire (UK brands) ~ October 2015 - June 2017

During a huge platform migration effort that started on October 2015, I've been responsible for overseeing the front-end implementation of modules and functionality of Hearst European sites.

Along with the Head of Development, I work directly with Product Managers, Project Managers, QA teams and UX designers, helping to drive clear communication and development processes that streamline delivery and benefits the product.

Version control: The site was locally developed using Amazon EC2 instances and the Gitflow workflow.

Hearst UK: Good Housekeeping Institute (GHI) ~ June 2014 - October 2015

Example of: ExpressionEngine (EE) build and front-end implementation.

As the front-end lead, I developed the CSS architecture using Sass to ensure modularity. Working along with back-end developers, we created the first mobile-friendly build for a product reviews website in the UK.

The website went live in November 2014 and the final build was launched on September 2015.

On April 2017, during an internal awards ceremony, the GHI site was recognized as the International Website of the Year.

GoLocalise ~ June 2012 - Nov 2013

GoLocalise website has over 6GB of data translated and organised into 9 different languages. Following an extensive content audit, I designed responsive layouts and made localised interfaces to serve all the languages involved.

The team at this London-based law firm wanted to be able to maintain the content themselves, and in terms of layout, they were keen to make it flexible and adaptable to mobile devices.

BBC World Service ~ October 2005 - August 2011

For 6 years I played the role of special projects coordinator which involved providing solid concepts on the look and feel as well as HTML/CSS prototyping work for the BBC's Latin American presence. I dealt with editors, programmers, designers, copy writers and project managers with the goal of recreating web content and make it much more effective and memorable for online users.
